More on Bybee Tech and an Appreciation of Jack Bybee

I asked the family for a few words about Jack Bybee...

who was born and raised in Sacramento, California. As a youth, he was fascinated by electronics, and once built a radio from scrap pieces. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served a tour of duty in the Korean War. Following the war, he attended Arizona State and obtained a science degree. After college, Jack moved overseas and worked many years in sales. Upon his return back to the States, he obtained his brokerage license and worked for a short time as a stock broker in San Francisco. Soon his passion for automobiles led him to start an automotive repair and modification shop. He eventually sold this business and moved to his final residence in Half Moon Bay, California.

Besides automobiles, Jack's other passion was listening to music.

He enjoyed the opera, and listening to music at home. His science background and education led him to pursue a lifelong quest to improve sound, and as a result he started Bybee Technologies nearly 30 years ago. He initially started producing speakers. Jack was curious about the effects of quantum level noise in the signal path. He then began experimenting and developing products to filter quantum noise. Through the years he built many variations of products designed to filter and improve the incoming AC power and lower voltage signals, some with great acclaim. About 7 years ago Jack developed a technology using proprietary materials and processes, which became the backbone of every new Bybee Technologies' product.  Amazingly this technology proved to be extremely beneficial when inserted in-line on the signal path, but also is effective when simply placed near signal paths.  The science behind the technology deals with electromagnetic energy, resonance frequencies, and electric and magnetic fields. Curiously this technology also is effective in helping sound waves travel more efficiently with these same scientific principles at work.

Jack passed away in September of 2020 at the age of 89 years. His only regret was that he wasn't a younger man when he discovered this new technology. He understood that the potential of this technology extended beyond music.  Fortunately the build processes for all Bybee products was passed on to a team that continues to produce these products. Bybee Technologies remains alive and well, except that the creative and genius mind of Jack Bybee is sorely missed.
