New From Synergistic Research: Carbon Tuning Discs

One of the upgrades to Synergistic Research's latest Atmosphere SX cable series, derived from those used in the higher Galileo SX and SRX cables, is a "UEF Tuning Disc" inserted at multiple locations inside the cable assemblies. These discs interact with and influence the electromagnetic fields in the cables and are used to fine tune the cables for better sound.

SR has now decided to offer a spinoff called Carbon Tuning Discs ($199/4) as a stand-alone product which can offer a similar performance upgrade for other Synergistic cables (can't wait to try these on their excellent and affordable Foundation Series), as well as for cables from other manufacturers.

Offered in sets of 4 - two Gold for harmonic richness and two Purple for detail and clarity - the company recommends experimentation using both colors in the system, attached to the cables on or near the connectors.
