New Studio Series Cables From Audience

Just last month Audience announced that they are releasing two new interconnects and speaker cables which represent significant upgrades to the products they are replacing in the line. (See article in Specials section below for closeout offers on the prior series.) Here is what we learned:

Studio ONE replaces the discontinued Au24 SE cable line. The wires are mostly engineered in the same geometry as the Au24 SE they replace. Significant improvements in Studio ONE include 1) an improved XLPE dielectric vs. Au24 SE, and 2) treatment with Audience's proprietary EHVP (extreme high voltage process). The result is that Studio ONE is a better-sounding product than its Au24 SE predecessor at the same price level.

Studio TWO  will replace the high value Conductor SE line. Studio TWO is engineered the same as Studio ONE, which is a worthwhile improvement over Conductor SE both in terms of geometry and performance. Studio TWO is essentially the same base wire as Studio ONE, less the EHVP treatment and using a slightly lower quality of termination connectors. 

These two lines promise to outperform the cables they replace with no price increase. Both lines include RCA and XLR interconnects and speaker cables. Studio ONE will also include phono and headphone cables.
