The Hana Umami Red Phono Cartridge

While on the subject of high performance analog, Hana, which has become one of the true high value stars in analog reproduction with their overachieving series of moving coil cartridges in the $475 to $1200 range, is now shipping their first super high end design called Umami Red ($3950). 

The cartridge body, shaped like the outer ear, is Duralumin with a lacquer finish and an ebony wood inlay. The coils are hand-wound copper, a samarium/cobalt magnet, and a nude microline stylus bonded to a solid Boron cantilever. Internal impedance is 6Ω and the output is .4mV.

Now that these have begun shipping, and based on what they have done with their more affordable designs, we are excited to hear what Hana can accomplish in this hand-built statement design!
