Video added for the NEW REL S Series Subs

Our favorite subs just got better: the newest REL subwoofers are the seriously upgraded new models in their S Series, the S/812 and S/510. You can take a look at the designer's presentation of the upgrades.

In short, the higher model S/812 ($2899) adopts the amplification designed for the top S series model, the massive 212/SE ($4200), to offer 800 watts of power and provide almost twice the output below 40Hz compared to the earlier S series models. New carbon fiber driver bracing and coatings, custom filters, and rail-type supports to allow for the stacking of multiple subs in line arrays are other upgrades. These same approaches are also common to the smaller, less expensive, 500 watt model S/510($2399), which is ideal for systems and rooms which don't need quite the power and output of the larger S series models.
